Week 7. My lucky number… or one of them, at least! Here’s what we did this week:

  • Book honeymoon!! (We are going to Bora Bora! I am counting down the days! It will be some much needed relaxation after this craziness of wedding planning!)
  • wine tasting (We tasted the wine from the vineyard where we are getting married. His mom purchased a bottle of each so we can taste with all his fam over Christmas!)
  • gather more floral ideas and meet with florist (I showed her my Pinterest board and some cutouts from magazines, told her the variety and number of arrangements we would like. She is going to send me an estimate to review and create some sample arrangements for me!)
  • set up online RSVP on your wedding website if you are choosing that option (We wanted our guests to be able to go ahead and RSVP once they received their Save the Dates. We felt they were more likely to do so should they check out our wedding website listed. The sooner they can RSVP, the easier for us down the line!)
  • engagement photo shoot (Sneak peek above from our shoot!)

My favorite thing we did this week was our engagement photo shoot. (Obviously I’m excited for Bora Bora, but it’s so far away!) We had the best time hammin’ it up and being super cheesy with each other :)

We shot in Palos Verdes which was so beautiful, but it was really windy and cold! I promptly wrapped myself in a blanket when we were done as we trekked up the hill back to our car. Clay and I went straight to Starbucks for some hot chocolate while we decided where to grab dinner before heading back to LA.

I am so very grateful to be engaged to this man. I am humbled to be the one he has chosen. He loves me so well. I love our love story, and I cannot wait to continue to share God’s goodness in it with others.

We had such a great time shooting with Cameron and Tracy Leung. They are such a talented married photog couple. We can’t wait for them to shoot our wedding! More pics to come!
