To the one who waits,
Don’t settle for good. Wait for God’s best.⠀
If there are red flags, seek wisdom through Scripture, prayer and wise counsel.⠀
Don’t compromise. Wait for a man who won’t want you to.
Treat every man you date as someone else’s husband. For when you find yours, you’ll have wished every girl he dated did the same.⠀
Wait. Wait for the Lord to move. To deliver you the one He has chosen for you in His timing.
It may take longer than you like, but the waiting will make the blessing all the sweeter.
I waited a long time for this fairy-tale-like day. But I can tell you marriage is not easy. You are going to want to make sure you choose someone to walk this life with through all the ups and downs and twists and turns.⠀
I’m so grateful for every long night, lonely day and tear cried waiting for this man to come into my life. He was SO. WORTH. THE WAIT.
Your true love will be, too.
To the one who waits, I know it isn’t easy. I know the road is difficult, full of obstacles and the whispers of the enemy’s lies. But just remember, Jesus told us life wouldn’t be easy; He pretty much guaranteed it would be difficult. And yet! He said, “In this wold you will have trouble. BUT TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD!” {John 16:33, NIV}
He’s overcome your waiting. He’s overcome your doubting. He’s overcome your longing. And He’s simply writing the greatest set-up to your epic love story to come.
To the one who waits, “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” {Psalm 27:14, NLT}
