Tomorrow marks exactly two days since Clay first asked me to be his girlfriend. It’s hard to believe. So much has happened in the last two years: dating, engagement, a wedding, our first global missions trip together to Africa, the inception of my first book, Clay’s promotion to Global Missions Director at Bel Air Church, and so much more.
Today Southern California Bride featured us on their site. It’s an honor to have our story displayed here {or at least a bit of it!} Clay and I have had a truly special journey. I love that saying or quote that floats around the abyss of Pinterest and the like that says, “All love stories are beautiful, but I love ours the most.”
Well, I mean, of course I love ours because it’s ours, but I do think all love stories are so beautiful. What’s beautiful about them is they are all unique. I love how God works in the craziest, most unexpected and mysterious ways to being two people together that they may do more for His Kingdom purposes together than apart.
And that’s exactly what he has done in our love story. And the best part? Well, it’s only just begun! Take a peek at this beautiful feature today on Southern California Bride with some well-crafted words recapping a few of our wedding highlights from our wonderful photographer, Cameron Leung {who works with his sweet wife, Tracy. Together they take the most beautiful photos! Don’t take my word for it – see for yourself!}
I must say I am so grateful to all the vendors who came together, each in their own right, with their own expertise, passion, and wonderful execution of my grand vision to make this day the most memorable of my life thus far. And I mean… I can’t end a post about our wedding without thanking God {I know, I know, what am I making an Oscar acceptance speech or what? lol.} But really, I thank God for orchestrating all the details not only of this day, but also of Clay’s and my journey toward each other, then with each other, and all the while toward and with God for whom we pray gets all the glory for and from this day. {and our lives.}
{Our one year anniversary is April 23… Maybe by then I’ll actually create my own post with our wedding highlights! I can’t make any promises though. Book writing is intense!}
