I love crockpot dishes. They do all the work for you! And they just make good plain cozy comfort food for this chilly winter weather!
The hubs and I had a bunch of leftover veggies and just needed a meat dish for dinner, so I set a couple of frozen chicken breasts out to thaw when I woke up, put them in the crockpot around noon, and by 7pm dinner was served!
This recipe calls for Young Living’s lemon essential oil. {You can get some here.} What I love about cooking with essential oils is you get all of the flavor with none of the mess/prep/hassle/annoyance!
Without further ado…
crockpot lemon chicken
INGREDIENTS
- organic chicken breasts
- olive oil
- lemon essential oil
- salt
- pepper
- garlic powder
- thyme {or other dried herb of your choice}
INSTRUCTIONS
- drizzle olive oil on bottom of crockpot
- place chicken breasts in crockpot
- drizzle olive oil on top
- add 1-2 drops lemon essential oil to each chicken breast
- sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder + thyme {or other herb}
- cook on low for 6-7 hours until cooked through/golden brown
Viola! Dinner is served!
