I have to say: this may be one of the most delicious smoothie concoctions I have created… and I’ve created a lot. I call it the:
banana bread bliss smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 c. ice
- 2 handfuls organic frozen blueberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 scoop Thorne Research Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 T. maca root powder
- 1 T. raw organic cacao powder
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 T. flaxseeds
- 1 T. Artisana Organics coconut butter
- 1 T. raw almond butter
- 1 c. frozen chard {green, red, or rainbow}
- 1/2 c. organic unsweetened almond milk
- 1 t. Buried Treasure liquid vitamin D3
- toppers: cacao nibs + organic toasted coconut strips
INSTRUCTIONS:
- combine all ingredients besides toppers in Vitamix {or blender} – though I will say, I like my smoothies really thick and the Vitamix stick that helps you stir while blending is key!
- blend well
- pour into a glass/mason jar {I keep a few in the freezer so my smoothie stays extra frozen while I enjoy it!}
- top with toppers
- be filled with healthy foods that fill you with energy and joy :)
